To activate your copy, you will need to provide the serial number that you received together with the purchased copy. If you have purchased a downloadable version, you will find the serial number in the confirmation message you received from the online store. If you have purchased a packaged version on a tangible medium, you will find the serial number printed on a card placed inside the packaging. To activate your copy of ABBYY FineReader Express Edition for Mac. Install the program on your computer. Open the program. A dialog box is displayed prompting you to enter your serial number. Enter your serial number and click OK. If the FineReader does not prompt you to enter the serial number and only allows you to continue in the trial mode or quit, it means that you have the trial version of the program installed.
